So, who’s behind all this support? Meet our Customer Success team - a group of passionate, knowledgeable people who are here to make sure you get the most out of DealRoom. They’re experts in onboarding, troubleshooting, and helping you tackle any roadblocks that come your way. But their job doesn’t end after the initial setup. Your DealRoom Onboarding Experience

Once you’ve become a DealRoom customer, you’ll go directly into onboarding. Below, we've outlined everything you need to know to hit the ground running and manage your deals within the platform. Let’s dive in!

The DealRoom On-Boarding Process

  • Kick-Off!
    • Our kick-off call introduces your DealRoom team and aligns on top priorities. We'll cover roles, responsibilities, and an overview of the onboarding process. Be sure to include future admins and your main point of contact for onboarding.
  • Process Discovery/Data Requirements
    • We’ll import your data—from pipeline trackers to Due Diligence & Integration checklists—and start building your DealRoom environment! Simply send us your data, and we’ll take care of the setup! See the "Get Started" section below for what we need to begin!
  • Reporting Requirements/Review
    • Once your DealRoom environment is set up and data is imported, we’ll focus on reporting. Powered by Google Looker, DealRoom’s BI tool offers custom reporting with in-house expertise. We’ll provide samples and can replicate your existing reports. This phase runs alongside rollout and training.
  • Rollout/Training
    • With your pipeline and template room set up, it's time for rollout. Training is tailored for three different user groups:
      • Full Platform Administrators: Session covering all platform functionalities.
      • Internal Users: Session focused on daily workflows and best practices.
      • External Users: Training is provided as needed, similar to internal user training.
  • Onward!
    • Once your environment is built, reporting is set, and users are trained, you’re officially onboarded! Your DealRoom CSM will establish a regular cadence with power admins to gather feedback and share updates on new features.

Our onboarding process ensures your team quickly maximizes DealRoom’s value, streamlining workflows from day one. Here are four key milestones that will transform how you manage deals.

    • Your Pipeline or Live Playbook is customized and imported, creating a centralized hub for all deal information. No more juggling multiple trackers or spreadsheets.
  • Automated Reporting
    • Imported data is transformed into BI reports that update automatically, eliminating delays for ELT or board reports. Reports can be delivered directly to inboxes on a preset schedule.
  • Simplified Project Readiness
    • Instantly launch new projects with standardized diligence and integration lists, permission settings, internal access, and a structured data room—reducing admin work and focusing on deal execution.
  • Live Deal Execution with External Parties
    • Easily invite external stakeholders to upload data directly to requests, which are auto-sorted and securely stored—eliminating version control issues and manual VDR checks.
