Michael Frankel
Michael is Founding Partner of Trajectory Capital, a private equity fund focused on small ‘diamond in the rough’ enterprise technology and data businesses. Trajectory Capital works closely with large corporates on sub-scale and off-strategy divestitures as well as with founders. Michael brings over 30 years of experience in dealmaking, over which he has executed more than 100 M&A, equity and debt transactions. Prior to Trajectory Michael was SVP of the Deloitte New-venture Accelerator and a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Michael has also served as corporate development and strategy officer at a number of technology and information services companies including VeriSign, GE Capital, IRI and LexisNexis. Michael has also served on the boards and advisory boards of both public and private companies in the technology and data sector.
Michael earned his BA, MA, JD and MBA from the University of Chicago. He is a frequent speaker on M&A, corporate development, and innovation; and has written three books and numerous articles on those subjects.
Michael lives in the suburbs of New York City with his wife, daughter, and large dog. In his free time Michael loves to cook, read and travel.
Jeremy Segal
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development at Progress, Jeremy Segal is responsible for sourcing, executing and integrating Mergers and Acquisitions, which are essential elements of Progress’ Total Growth Strategy. With a strong track record of successfully acquiring and integrating companies, Jeremy’s expertise and experience better positions Progress to achieve its long-term goal of doubling the size of the company through M&A in five years.
Since joining Progress, Jeremy has been the driving force behind building the company’s acquisition pipeline and simultaneously leading the close and integration of three deals: Chef, Kemp and MarkLogic. Each added complementary technologies and strategic recurring revenue to the Progress portfolio.
Jeremy spent over 20 years leading M&A functions in publicly traded technology companies with inorganic growth strategies. Prior to joining Progress, he was Global Head of Corporate Development at LogMeIn, and previously he served as Vice President of Corporate Development at Akamai Technologies. During his corporate development career, Jeremy has completed more than 35 acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures resulting in an aggregate value of over $8 billion.
A thought leader with frequent speaking and podcast appearances, Jeremy holds an MBA in Strategy and Corporate Finance from Cornell University’s Johnson School of Management and a BA in Government and Economics from Bowdoin College, where he also sits on the Alumni Council.
Elana Anderson
Elana Anderson is an accomplished marketing and product executive with an extensive background in the B2B SaaS industry. Formerly, she was the founding leader of the marketing practice at Forrester Research where her contributions as an analyst positioned her as a leading authority in customer analytics, relationship marketing strategy, and the transformative potential of technology in the marketing organization. Elana’s deep understanding of the intricate connection between product and go-to-market strategy equips her with a unique skill set and a distinctive viewpoint that she brings to the forefront in the B2B Boardroom.
Currently, Elana serves as an advisor and independent board director for growth stage companies, leveraging her expertise to drive strategic growth and success. In her prior roles, she served as Chief Marketing Officer at Veracode (acquired by TA Associates), Vidyo (acquired by EngHouse), and Demandware (Nasdaq: DWRE, acquired by Salesforce). She also held the position of Vice President of Products at Unica (Nasdaq: UNCA, acquired by IBM), Vice President of Customer Operations at WebDialogs (acquired by IBM), and served as the Research Director of the marketing practice at Forrester Research. Early in her career, Elana distinguished herself as a consultant at Tessera Enterprise Systems and Accenture, laying the foundation for her impactful journey in the industry.
Kevin Ebert
With over 17 years of experience in the sales industry, Kevin is a seasoned professional known for driving exceptional results and leading high-performance global sales teams. As the Head of Global Sales at Airtable, Kevin brings a unique blend of strategic vision, hands-on leadership, and deep industry expertise to the table. Throughout his career, Kevin has demonstrated a strong track record of building and scaling sales organizations, driving revenue growth, and fostering long-lasting client relationships. He has a proven ability to develop and execute innovative sales strategies tailored to diverse markets and customer segments, resulting in increased market share and profitability. Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from UNH Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics. He is a strategic thinker, a results-oriented leader, and a trusted advisor.
