The idea for DealRoom began in a small office in downtown Chicago in 2012. Our founder, Kison, was running a boutique M&A practice that focused on hospitality. He realized the standard technology available for M&A created inefficiencies such as team silos, duplicate work, and version control issues. He knew there had to be a better way and that the industry desperately needed a product purpose-built for M&A optimization. Kison’s goal was to disrupt the M&A process, for good. He saw a need for better technology that connected the entire lifecycle of a deal, from initial pipeline management to diligence to post-merger integration. The solution? DealRoom!

DealRoom is seeking a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) with a winning mindset to exceed revenue goals through outbound opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Meet or exceed the Activity Goals every Week.
- Meet or exceed the Sales Qualified Lead Quota every Month.
- Meet or exceed the Revenue Attribution Target every Quarter.
- Research investment banking, corporate development, and private equity firms to understand evolving trends and unique challenges.
- Develop targeted prospect lists in HubSpot CRM database of 75k+ companies, sourcing key decision-makers as needed.
- Curate net-new targeted prospect lists from LinkedIn, Grata, CrunchBase and similar sources, growing the CRM database.
- Deploy effective prospecting strategies through personalized outreach to high-value companies, utilizing both reactive and cold prospecting methods. This includes a phone-heavy, multi-threaded, omnichannel approach to drive interest in DealRoom.
- Qualify prospects based on their current business needs and challenges.
- Schedule demonstrations and discovery calls for Account Executive (AE) team.
- Continuously experiment, test, analyze, and improve sourcing, prospecting, and qualification tactics while striving for 1% betterment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and implement best practices to enhance your sales development process.
Who you are:
- A problem-solver with 1+ year(s) of lead generation or sales prospecting experience, demonstrating a strong figure-it-out factor in navigating complex sales environments.
- An effective communicator with outstanding phone and writing skills, showcasing business acumen through compelling messaging and insightful questioning.
- Self-motivated and highly organized, with a sense of urgency and persistence.
- Exceptional self-discipline and autonomy, with strong time management skills.
- Genuinely empathetic towards prospects, leveraging active listening skills to understand and address their needs.
- Coachable with strong interpersonal and presentation skills, open to feedback and continuously looking for opportunities to improve.
- Resilient and persistent, with a commitment to win that drives you to overcome obstacles and consistently meet targets.
