Changelog
What's New in DealRoom
Product updates, improvements, and fixes — straight from the team.
Activity Timeline for Findings
Clicking the last updated date on a Finding in the Findings table opens an Activity Timeline showing every change made to that finding, who made it, and when.
DealRoom AI: Multi-Language Document Analysis
DealRoom AI answers questions about documents written in a language other than the one you ask in and returns the response in your language with source excerpts. For example, a question asked in English about a German-language document returns an English answer.
55 Customer-Driven Enhancements to DealRoom MCP
Built directly from customer feedback, the enhancements give any connected AI read-and-write access across the DealRoom M&A Operating System, so corp dev teams spend less time on busywork and more time closing better deals.
Pipeline Last Activity
A sortable, filterable field in the Pipeline that shows the date and time of the most recent human action on each deal (edits, notes, tasks, phase moves, or logged emails), but not background enrichment. Including a colored status dot (green for 0–30 days, yellow for 31–45, red for over 45) and accurate dates for existing deals from audit history.
Audience Visibility in Comments
When writing a comment, users see exactly who will receive it before sending. The audience selector shows individual members of each group, so nothing reaches the wrong people.
Pipeline Field-Level Permissions
Control visibility and edit access per field group, per permission group. Sensitive fields (purchase price, EBITDA) are hidden entirely — no lock icons, no friction.
Field Level Permissions
Admins can now set View or View and Edit access independently for each field within a request, including title, description, attachments, dates, custom fields, status, assignees, followers, reviewers, priority, labels, dependencies, and comments.
Hide Data Room tab
A new admin setting that removes the Data Room tab from a group's navigation; file permissions are unchanged, and files remain accessible through Requests and comment attachments.
DealRoom MCP
A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that users to connect DealRoom data to their preferred AI, enabling them to read and interact with deals, rooms, documents, and tasks through natural language.
Permissions Overview
A new tab on the Permissions page that shows admins what a selected group can access (users, requests, data room folders, findings, synergies, group visibility, and admin access) in a single view.
Full Room Search
Enables users to search across all documents, requests, findings, and folders within a deal room from a single search bar.
