Customer Support Specialist

Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our DealRoom team! 
The Customer Support Specialist drives and innovates business solutions and digital transformations as well as consults with customers and prospects to understand their business needs and pain points. 

Who are we?
DealRoom is a financial software company that serves corporate development, investment banking, and private equity professionals. We help M&A professionals create secure and efficient workflows for their complex transactions.

Where did DealRoom begin?
Founded in Chicago, DealRoom was created by a former M&A advisor, Kison Patel, who saw industry-wide technological inadequacies that prohibited deal success. He wanted to fill the gaps within the financial technology industry with a client-oriented culture.


  • Responsible for determining the overall strategic, operational, and technical scope of new business opportunities with customers and prospects
  • Work closely with the sales team to understand strategic business issues then craft and communicate solution strategies 
  • Articulate strategy and objectives using strong presentation skills that focus on value
  • Earning client and partner trust through technical and functional expertise
  • Assist with client billing
  • Answer support ticket inquiries
  • Facilitate a smooth and successful transition (externally and internally) from the sales process to implementation
  • Analyzes and incorporates data points across various sources in order to identify areas of opportunity and areas for development
  • Works with executives across departments to arrive at outcomes that align individual goal attainment and overall company success
  • Delivers convincing pitches while effectively handling objections that arise, tailors content/style to each customer
  • Goes out of his or her way to complete a job and takes initiative with minimal direction or supervision
  • Sets clear, realistic objectives that align to business growth; breaks each objective into component tasks that can be achieved within a realistic timeframe.

Who you are:
- Excellent organizational, written, verbal, research skills

- At least 1 year in customer support (SaaS) (preferred)

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

- Effective problem-solving capabilities

- Ability to adjust approach and communication style based on personalities and goals of customers

- Driven, intelligent, and enjoys collaborating with others
